Bristol Palin, daughter of a well-known politician Sarah Louise Palin, got pregnant at the early age of 17 with former boyfriend Levi Johnston. By then, her mother was a running for office as Vice President and as you might have guessed, it got plenty of attention.
She also joined the “Dancing with the Stars” show as a contestant. You could only imagine how many followers she got during those times. Even if she isn’t an A-class celebrity, you can bet she had thousands of fans across the U.S. She then had a platform to be able to join the infamous TV show that is ‘Teen Mom OG’.
After joining the long-running TV show on MTV for one season, Bristol Palin announced on Instagram that she will be quitting the show. She mentioned on her Instagram post that the show wasn’t a fit for her and took away her peace.
In all honesty, she should have figured it out the moment she set foot on the celebrity life. Not to mention, it was documentary that was supposed to be an inspiration or motivational show for teens that got pregnant at an early age.
Knowing these types of documentaries, and on a supposed music channel even, we shouldn’t expect much. A general rule of thumb for these kinds of shows is to expect a lot of dramas, even if it doesn’t exactly portray what really happened.
She then further explained on why she quit the show, stating,
“I cared what people thought of me, I wouldn’t be here today – let’s be real. I’ve stood strong and held it down for my kids since day one. No matter how bad @teenmom tries to portray my life,”

Before joining the show, Bristol had high hopes of inspiring and letting others know that they were not alone. The show was a platform that could give her the opportunity to showcase how she’s juggling the many struggles of a previously teen mom. Sadly, that wasn’t the case.
She further extended how she really felt about the show through Instagram,
“All they want with my little segment each week is some fake fill-in Farrah Abraham/Jerry Springer BS, and it’s simply not true. Don’t get me wrong – I’ve said some mean things and learned a lot the last several months – but the life I’ve built for my kids is NOT sitting around talking about baby daddy drama. Every week is a continued disappointment with their inaccuracies and false narratives. I hate getting all emo on you guys but I’ve kept quiet for too long about it. Don’t believe everything you see on TV.”

All things considered, it’s heartwarming that she has no scuffle among her co-stars on the show. In fact, she seems to have built some kind of ‘friendship’ among them stating,
“I have love for all the girls on the show, and wish them the best of luck in all their future endeavors!!,”
