Rise of Kingdoms: A History
Lilith Games, a mobile developer and publisher out of Shanghai, has recently re-branded their already popular game, Rise of Civilizations.
With the newest version, now called Rise of Kingdoms, there are a few new additions to the mobile game. Whether you’re a returning fan or new to the world of Rise, get excited – you’re about to have a lot more options on your hands!
Rise of Kingdoms is available for free in the App store and from Google Play. The new update includes three additional civilizations and music composed by Grammy Award winner Christopher Tin.
Just a few short months ago, Lilith Games released the Ark of Osiris Battlegrounds update. Players can now control or go up against Arabia, Byzantium, and the Ottoman empire; and do it all to the epic, swelling instruments of Tin, who captures the power and action wonderfully with his musical scores.
Rise of Kingdoms: The Basics
Rise of Kingdoms gives you complete control over an empire and how you choose to rule it.
You can be a benevolent ruler, or a cruel dictator. Re-create a nation’s history or act out the fantasies of your alter-ego!
Players can now choose from eleven different civilizations: Rome, Germany. Britain, France, Spain, China, Japan, Korea, Arabia, Ottoman, and Byzantium. In each civilization you build up your empire with architecture, teleport to any location of your choice, command armies, battle other nations, and explore the world as we know it – and as you choose to create it!
No matter what kind of life you lead, or wish you were leading, it can be imagined in Rise of Kingdoms. Set your sights on discovering the world around you, or stay at home in your kingdom and focus on the wealth and happiness of your people! Reign in peace or set out to conquer all other civilizations.
Whatever your dream, you can make it a reality in Rise of Kingdoms.
Choose Your Battle
For those attracted to the blood, gore, and strategy of shows and stories like Game of Thrones, Rise of Kingdoms offers a complex and intriguing way to do battle.
As the ruler of a civilization, you can create a commander with three chosen abilities and four skills, as well as the option to upgrade and/or gain other special skills with experience. The commanders are also based on real life heroes and heroines, such as Joan of Arc or Lancelot.
Lead four different groups of troops, including Infantry, Archers, Calvary, and Siege. Events such as the War Path, Lord of War, Strategic Reserve, and Mighty Army are all based on what you can achieve in battle, bringing your kingdom glory and power.
Rise of Kingdoms Perks
For a game that can be played on a monitor as small as that of the iPhone, Rise of Kingdoms has surprisingly detailed graphics and other details that make it a great draw for gamers everywhere.
Lilith Games has included a realistic day to night cycle as well as real-time battles. These battles aren’t just about the strategy of numbers; players will have to take into account natural features such as mountains, rivers, and the general terrain as they go up against other kingdoms.
The maps themselves are incredibly interactive. In undiscovered areas, a thick fog will cover what may be lying ahead – rulers need to send out scouts to uncover more of the map and the world around them, which is ripe for the taking!
Or, if you’d rather be a home-body, stay in your kingdom and focus on building the architecture, community, and economy.
If current culture media such as Game of Thrones, the Avengers series, or Westworld have caught your attention, Rise of Kingdoms might be a great option for you to game with.
Lilith Games has paid careful attention to details and it’s easy for users to get drawn into the worlds they create.
Reminiscent of Legend of Zelda and other expedition-focused video games, Rise of Kingdoms has proven that we don’t need to go too far to find adventure; by re-writing history and taking control, we can find excitement close to home.
